Annie was a long time friend (and family member) and this is a wonderful tribute to her. She was amazing. (She was basically my aunt, my mentor.) I'm going to share this with the family.

I was outraged when All That Jazz didn't win best picture. The movie is a work art, and Reinking is incredible.

I was an abused child with Stockholm Syndrome who also happened to be a performer. Seeing Ann Reinking in Dancin' was like being thrown a life preserver. For some reason it made it click that there was some other life out there that I could actually have. Performing is now my career, my life is good, and she is forever an inspiration.

I saw her in All That Jaz when I was a kid and was blown away. It wasn't until college that I first saw people with that level of physical skills.
She died during the same time period in Seattle when I was hospitalized at Swedish for Leukemia. She was freaking amazing!

I love your enthusiasm while talking about someone you obviously admire I hope she knew what a fan you were and are of her. You are helping keep her alive. I learned about Ann through my love of Gwen Verdon and her broadway life. I'm so glad you included the support Gwen gave Ann in recognizing her talent and love for Fosse.

Beautiful job with this. Ann Reinking was absolutely stunning. And to learn that she was just as lovely a person as she was talented ... thank you for this.

I couldn’t stop crying while watching this amazing piece on the magnificent Ann Reinking. I was studying dance in Chicago in the early 80’s and this piece touches my deep passion for the art form and the artist who embraced her humanity and shared her light for us wannabes. ❤

A person's life is not what they've attained or done but what they've given along the way. That's what is remembered by the one's who met & knew them. Everyone else just knows the public persona. She was a great gal.

I love Ann Reinking!!!! But, my favorite role that she played, and don’t kill me for this, was Grace in Annie. That movie has a special place in my heart!!! But she was so amazing!!!

Ann's brother Dan was director of a couple of community theatre musicals that I was in. I would have been thrilled had I ever been given the chance to meet Ann.

You had pictures and clips I've not seen before, thank you for that. Very personable presentation.

She has always been a hero of mine. Chicago came to the Shubert in Boston, where I was working front of house, and Sandy Duncan was supposed to be playing Roxie. Sandy was injured, and they needed a big name to replace her. In comes Ann. I would sit in the back when they would have rehearsals prior to the show, and watch her teach. She was so, so, so very nice. Years later, I saw her and Ben Vereeniging in Fosse, and I held my breath the entire time. They were such a joy to watch together. Thanks for this video. She is so very missed.

I don’t know anything about dancing. I think West Side Story is cool but has a lot to do with the singing and story for me. But when I saw Ann in All That Jazz she really struck me as an unbelievable talent. Like the absolute pinnacle of a performance artist. I’ve never seen anyone flow around the stage like that.
