My landlord is neglecting the apartment, and there are no working fire alarms or carbon monoxide detectors. There was a recent fire, and if I hadn't woken up, it could have been worse. 💀⚰️

The landlord said I took out the batteries and it was my own fault?!! 🤯😳

The apartments also have issues like black mold and roaches. I want the building to be inspected since many neighbors can't speak English and are taken advantage of.

I contacted the city code enforcement and housing authority, but I need advice on how to get the city to inspect the property. How can we ensure the building gets fined and properly repaired?

Ultimately, what can be done to have the building condemned and shut down?
