Kid at my school has a prosthetic leg, he's actually really cool. His leg broke somehow so for a couple days he was on a strange type of crutches but then went in for surgery on something so he was in a wheelchair for a while. He finally has his leg back but the funniest thing is seeing him casually just walking around with another foot in his backpack like "nothing to see here!"

As a 45 year old man, I suffered an evulsive amputation of my right arm and serious leg and spine injuries as well. You girl are wonderful and absolutely fantastic. Recovery is never about what happened but about facing adversity with a will to recover. I was told what I couldn't do and 25 years later, I am fortunate to still be able to work and laugh and live life to the fullest because like you, that is our only choice. Take good care and stay happy.

Thanks for all you're doing to inform people. The reality is any of us can wind up with an amputation, so it's helpful to see your videos to learn more. I wasn't even aware of the walking crutch until saw your videos. Keep up the good work!

Your story is awesome, personally I love how you find positive things in your life that doesn't hold you back,
I had 2 strokes and my 2nd one has made me ( not as mobile) as I used to be prior.

As a doc I find this really interesting. I see patients post amputations but never thought of how their life goes on after discharge. Great that this lady give you such a thorough insight into her life xx

Hi Jo, I've been an amputee for many years, it's so good to see you getting on with life and sharing some great tips. I've bought one of these puppies recently, foe me they are so awkward and uncomfortable as I have some knee problems, due to being an amp for so many years. I am hoping to get back on my prosthetic very shortly as this thing is driving me nuts. Love your work.

Too many people fall into despair if they lose a limb. So much better to move on with life, it is too short to waste being unhappy.
