I'd say Windows 11 is alive not well

I just really hoped i could sit out windows 10 till something better came along. Like how I went straight from 7 to 10. But given that it's support wont last that long anymore. I am seriously considering switching to Linux. I don't want to but neither do I want to switch to 11

And I'm ticked off because they will not support Windows 10 past Nov 2025. It's all about making profits and not caring about their customers.

I really just want to stick with windows 10 like I don't know about you guys but windows 11 just feels like a weird attempt to feel like linux graphically anyways

Interresting question you have placed on the table here 😊.
Windows certainly will not want to loose market share.
Their best move right may be to release an operating system with the same architecture and security as Linux. 😂

Meh, it's probably just another lie. They got us good with the "Windows 10 Forever!" double talk!

My biggest issues with windows 11 in the taskbar. It’s just horrible and even when you have automaticly hide taskbar on it still just doesn’t work sometimes especially when you have two monitors. It’s much better on Mac

Windows 11 is already an extended version of Windows. Just Windows. This is how they meant the "last Windows".
The number is just a major version number, nothing else, just like Firefox 128.

I hope they listened to the criticals response to Windows 11 as it's just a necessity to get rather than a thing you actually want to get.

Most people just need an os which can do the net, Office, and a few other things. Most people can get by with an Evolve III with a more robust hardware, bigger hard drive, more ram, and a clearer screen. With an official Tiny11.

The airline equivalent would be Southwest Airlines buying A380's for its network!

My only concern with future OS' ans updates is a subscription model, like for Microsoft Office 365. Granted, luckily, there are still full standalone Office products.

If there intends to be a subscription model of Windows, I'm hoping it's a lightweight version, perhaps just for ARM systems.

I have 11, upgraded from 7, yes I had the old system for nearly eight years before an upgrade.

well, he's not wrong. I remember back in win 11 leaked and early build, you can say its almost just a reskinned windows 10 with windows 10 core component still intact on that builds. Even today when you open legacy troubleshooter it still shows as windows 10 x64, and google still recognizes win 11 as nt 10.0 when you log into it.
I would just say despite all new features, improved system components and many more new stuff, it is still just an enhanced version of windows 10. just like windows 98 and 98se back in late 90s

Might as well be called Windows 27 or alike because of its planned releasing year.

Isn't every version of Windows just built on the previous one?

Thank you for not gaslighting us and saying, "MS never really promised W10 would be the last version! It was a misunderstanding! The media misquoted one engineer!" as so many tech YTers are saying now, for some inexplicable reason.
