Windows 11 KB5041585 Released With 4 New Features, Fixes BitLocker Known Issue + Plenty More

This latest August 2024 "B" release Patch Tuesday security update for Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 address 55 security vulnerabilities, 4 Critical. The update also adds notifications for Windows Share in China, right-click duplicate tab support in File Explorer, you can drag apps from the Pinned section of the Start menu and pin them to the taskbar, taskbar keyboard focus (WIN + T), 'Compress to' archive support, improves File Explorer reliability by addressing multiple crashes and hangs, updates the logic for the “End Task” option in the taskbar, addresses a known issue that was forcing devices into BitLocker Recovery and includes plenty more fixes. The update pushes version 22H2 to Build 22621.4037 and version 23H2 to Build 22631.4037.

This one still didn't enable the new features so I finally ran a script to get the updates and that worked. Didn't like doing that but tired of not getting the features!

hi mate, howdy. regarding bitlocker when i set it up on some of my drives, some i could unlock it and some i could not. It says "there are no supported protectors on this drive". why is that? thanks.

I have the KB5040527 update installed but I can't create duplicate tabs or drag Start menu apps to the task bar. Why?
