NASA Found a DANGER ZONE! #shorts

Nasa-funded scientists have discovered a danger zone for Earth. This is where potentially devastating asteroids can “sneak up” on Earth undetected.

The Danger Zone is in the East during the nighttime sky.

Celestial objects can appear stationary due to a quirk of the Earth’s daily rotation and journey around the sun. This means they won't be detected by telescopes intended to look out for such threats.

Proof of this was the 'near miss' asteroid 100 meters wide that went past Earth at a distance of only 70,000 km. It was only spotted 24 hours before it went by.

But now that the issue has been discovered, work is being done to over the stationary effect.

That's one of the reasons we need more telescopes off Earth. An additional location will allow us to triangulate these objects better for early detection

Tbh I’d rather not know if a big rock was hurdling towards earth about to end my life, but it’s definitely important that we know about any potential asteroids that pose a threat before they occur.
