By the way, there’s a middle ground to off roading. It’s most definitely possible to have fun offroading and do it responsibly without destroying your truck. I did it for years with my f150.

You have this misconception that going off road is "beating the hell" out of your vehicle. You can enjoy the wonderful world of off road with out damaging your truck. My PRO is always show ready and I off road all the time.

I have a 2020 beautiful all white mall crawler Jeep JL Rubicon. I will, when I can, drive through snow banks and dirt roads but will not do severe off road with it such as rock climbing etc. I keep it clean, I wash it often, I ceramic coat it and would hate to see a scratch on it. I do not give a crap about the people that say I am not a "real Jeeper". I was a truck driver in the military and did more that enough off roading to last me a lifetime. My payment, my Jeep. Spot on! My 2020 JLUR is clean & in the garage because it snowed & I want to keep it clean, so I'm driving...wait for it...my Prius! I take my JLUR off road, but not big into damage. Give me clean Moab rocks.

Never trade in your vehicle! The dealer is always going to lowball you. Modified or not, any excuse will do. If modified, you can bet they will ask for more money on the used lot for those modifications. This is what they do. This is all they do. You can’t beat them at their game (you have better odds in Vegas). If you want fair market value, sell it yourself. Sorry for this rant, hate to see people get ripped off.

Modding your Jeep is like finishing your basement - it doesn’t increase the value of your home, but it might make it more appealing to potential buyers. You do it to enjoy it yourself, not for the resale value. (Obviously adding a bedroom or a bathroom is different, but you get my point). Mods simply personalize the Jeep for your own satisfaction!
