This clip gave me all the emotions. I was first shook by Cissy comments on Janet, laughed hysterically at Whitney shading Paula and then my heart strings were tugged by seeing that warm embrace from Cissy to Whitney! It is nothing like love from a mother!

Whitney and Janet always had a mutual respect for one another. (Whitney even covered the song "Control" on one of her tours). Neither ever said a bad thing about the other. It's a shame Cissy was poisoning her daughter with such bitter comments.

This is actually a really good clip. It humanizes Whitney in my opinion. She was stunning and had a voice like no other but she was still insecure. Also her criticism of Paula wasn't mean or over the top-simply factual whereas her mother comes across very nasty by comparison. It was a peak inside to who they really were.

True about pop image. But cant take nothing away from Paula though she can dance her butt off and her voice not bad just soft & settle. Even at 60 she KILLED it at the BMI, Billborads or MTV awards icon show where they honored Mariah Carey. When she closed the show thats all people were talking about. So just 2 different artist and 2 different destinies. But much respect to all woman for enduring the hardship of the 80s & 90s music industry!
