So instead of not using synthetics at all, you just save it for the things you know you'll throw away?
Make it make sense.
There's no shame in using what you have. Acrylics aren't harmful to wear, they're bad for the environment bc they don't go anywhere.
Using it for practice just to trash it is just about the worst thing you could do

I use acrylic for stuffed animals :) I never thought how bad it is for the environment, though :/ it just seems a bit much to make a wool bee yah know?

Acrylic is great for making hats and blankets for those less fortunate. Not everyone can wear wool and if your practicing consider donating those hats, scarves, shawls, blankets and even stuff toys.

I know some people find these imperfect projects and correct them before donating them again.

Acrylic isn’t harmful to you unless you have a study im unaware of you can quote. And environmentally its no worse then any other plastic product or synthetic clothing (ex polyester, nylon, rayon, spandex). That being said people should be mindful of overconsumption when using any type of yarn and be mindful of what you make with it. Most people however spend alot of time on a project and are not going to throw it away like fast fashion.
