The funny thing about a "pros vs cons" on circumcision is 99% of those who are circumcised didn't get a choice and 99% of those who weren't never will.

I got circumcised when I was 12, they didn't do it when I was born because I was pre-mature and had thin blood and was scared I could bleed to death or cause an infection. I've also had kidney stones as an adult. I to this day would much rather have kidney stones again rather than being re-circumcised.

I feel like most of the "drawbacks" of not being circumcised can just be solved by cleaning it well.

I have cut off my baby son's arms. It's a lot better for hygiene since it's easier to clean his armpits now.

Why is it that female circumcision is considered genital mutilation and immoral but male circumcision is applauded and often encouraged?

Im circumcised and my son isnt. I literally had to fight my entire family to get them to drop the issue. I know my son will be grateful in the long run. I wish it was never done to me

You should show a video of a baby being circumcised and see how everyone feels about it then. I have never heard a cry more horrifying.

Some of the "pros" listed have much less invasive alternatives. As a parent it is your responsibility to teach your child good hygiene. If said child is an infant and incapable of self-care, the onus falls on you, the parent, to ensure they are properly bathed. As for STIs, condoms are significantly more effective at combating them. With the exception of medical emergencies and consenting adults, absolutely none of these instances are grounds for genital mutilation.

I always think it's funny that parents get mad at their kids because they dont brush their teeth... But they were literally to lazy to pull some skin back and give them a choice in the matter

I was cut when I was about 7 years old, allegedly an infection, they must have done it with a knife and fork, and took far too much off and left me scarred like frankenstein's monster, and the skin gets stretched when aroused to the point it aches a lot, resulting in it being rather displeasurable being turned on...

The majority of the so called “pros” here could be eliminated with simply cleaning. Women have to clean theirs strange things grow in the folds. Dismembering someone else’s body without their consent cannot be justified based off these so called pros. Genital mutilation is gross and most do it nowadays because they’re scared women will judge their boys negatively if they aren’t circumcised.

As a Medical assistant, pediatrics. I've heard the blood curdling scream of a boy getting a tube up his urethra just to collect a urine sample.. it was so bad and he was still an infant.. I could only imagine if it was the scream of otherwise regarding circumcision.

..im literally scared for life both physically and mentally from my forced circumcision at age 11... I'm 28 yrs of age now and still dealing with complications from it.. regardless of my opinion, you do you but don't force a youngan to do it..

Sometimes when I work out, I sweat and get smelly arm pits. Unfortunately my parents didn't decide to slice them off so now I just shower afterwards. This is apparently the best pro case for being circumcized😒

My mother asked me if I wanted to get circumcised when I was 16. In all honesty, that hardest part of being uncircumcised is living in a country where you’re body is uncommon and sometimes shamed and laughed at.
