My parents are retiring in Nicaragua in about a month. Leon Nicaragua. They bought a farm just outside of Leon. They are tired of the Chicago like living.

Great job man. I just want to mention the hospitality and warmth that people have. Respect for each other is a great value that Nicas share.

I love Nicaragua, I lived there as a young kid and have great memories of Nicaragua and the people there. I love the food there, Gallo pinto is one of my favorite plates. My heart has a special place for Nicaragua.

I get asked if I miss living in the USA as well. (I have been living here for 2 years now). My answer is... YES!. I miss it (the USA), until I go back and I realize I miss the USA of the 80's. When I pay $20 for a burger, fries, and coke and I see what a violent, rude society the USA has become, I want to get back to Nicaragua ASAP.

#Nicatime is a real thing. It's really tough to get used to.

And politics, I know very little of politics here, I have no opinion, and don't care. I am glad not to be in the USA now as politics there is just crazy. I just love living here in Nicaragua, it's a beautiful country and very peaceful. You are right, the propaganda online in the USA is crazy crazy wrong. Great video!

Congratulations and good luck with your movement. I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Mexico ten years ago. The best decision I ever made.

I ❤ your video: Thank you!

Hi sir, good day!! I know this is not the proper platform to ask this but I see this video of yours and it's makes me more curious and excited to move in Nicaragua hopefully in the future. I really want to move thier in Managua but I really don't know how. Now I'm currently working as a helper and I am really looking for any possibilities to come over on that country. Thank you so much!! Have a nice day!!

We moved to Matagalpa a few weeks ago and we are really enjoying it.
Our pros- cost of living and the people have been very friendly. As a couple with 3 dogs it looks like we will have total bills of about $1100-$1200/month. The pace of life is SLOW and after getting out of the rat race, that is wonderful.
Cons- even Matagalpa is a bit warm for us from noon-5pm, you can’t flush toilet paper, and there is no such thing as punctuality. Yes, there is in your face poverty.
We hope to stay for a year or two. My wife is Nicaraguan.
So you are the expert, where in Matagalpa should we be going for a good cup of coffee or coffee to bring home ?
Thanks, Scott
