Hey man, every time I have an idea or a doubt, I come and watch a related video... you are the one... keep on doing good stuff like these ones. Great Job...

I actually found the time to watch a video for a change!!
"Liked"...nice to see the easy access to your shop too!
Cheers, Martin.

I didn't see the point of having binding posts for the output. And it provides a nice differentiator between input and output.

I like the part of the video where Dave is waving a bit of his extra extra magic into the tested boards. That should make them priceless ;)

I toss'em in a big box. Got any ideas what to do with hundreds of UB5 Jiffy Box lids?

Based on 15s before and 5s after, you save 10s per unit times 3. That's about 25 minutes saved for the whole 50. If you took 25 minutes to build the test jig you've already received 100% return on investment by doing the 50 so any more that you do is all profit baby!!

Yeah, but that would require actual circuitry, and you'd still want to let it settle a bit anyway. Diminishing returns there I think.

Probably zero time saved. A quick glance is all that's needed. The mind is pretty high bandwidth!

Yeah, maybe, in enough volume. With hindsight I could/should have done that.

The first thing I thought of was to using two matching binding posts on the opposite end of the jig PCB to compensate for the difference in heights on the uC.

Fantastic! I shall be putting an order it for one some time today :D

Maybe use a microcontroller with audio feedback to build a dedicated test setup. You could free up the Flukes for other things. The microcontroller could read the voltages and output a high pitched beep for good and a loud blurp for not good. Visually you would only need a red or green LED. It could fit into the jig housing you have and be self contained.

What - no whistling in the time-lapse? Dave, you're slacking off :D

Hey Dave, After seeing this video I was wondering how much time will be saved after automating the inspection stage ? I want to do a weekend project for a DIY AOI using opencv and camera :)
