There is a theory which says that Tyrion was a Targaryen. Tywin was Hand of King of Aerys II Targaryen, otherwise known as The Mad King. There are a couple of confirmed points regarding Aerys’ relationship with Tywin’s wife, Joanna. Barristan Selmy tells Daenerys that the King was said to be infatuated with her. Tywin says Tyrion isn't his son, multiple times.

The fact that Tyrion was able to talk down both dragons, Rhaegal and Viserion, from turning him into a pile of ash, could be the very proof that we've been looking for that this Lannister actually has Targaryen blood running through his veins. The way he spoke to the dragons was so calming, almost like a lullaby or as if he were telling them a bedtime story. He told the dragons that he asked for one of them as a pet on the day of his name day and cried himself to sleep when he was told that they no longer existed.

The line "It could be little...like me" hurts. He was a child that just wanted a friend.

I love how as soon as he removed the collar from the one, the other was right there like it was saying "ok help, mine next".

It’s cool how Tyrion is the first guy to talk to the dragons as intellectual beings. Everyone treats them as items or beast of burdens, including Targaryen’s.

His acting is on another level. He wasn't telling the story to calm the dragons, he was telling the story to calm himself . Lowering his own stress and anxiety so the dragons would not see him as a threat bc they could sense that in him.

He must've felt his inner child singing with joy when he said "but here you are. " as he gently touched the dragon's scales

The fact is that Tyrion is not speaking high Valyrian and the dragons still understand him, show us how intelligent the dragons are.

Love this scene. How he gently touches him before unlatching his chains. You could feel the awe and respect from Tyrion towards these magical miracles ❤

I love this scene, I love the Dragons, I love Tyrion's story. I just never bought the idea that the pin that held the collars onto the dragons necks were so easy to pull out.

Tyrion was such a great character in the books; his presence amplifies just how innocence and righteousness are so underestimated, but yet so vulnerable to emotions. All of the characters were enthralling...

He wasn’t a threat, they could smell it. He was there to help and they knew it.
