Just won our league championship thanks to everything I learned on your channel. The fact that you don’t have to overthink your swing was the winning formula in the heat of competition. Did I mention that at 75, I am the oldest champion in the 40 year history of the league.

Tom, played one of the worst rounds of golf yesterday. Halfway through I decided I should finally implement the things you teach in this video. I step up to a par 5 with driver in hand: weight forward, arms together, swing with shoulders. I ended up hitting a beautiful 285 yard drive after struggling with my driver all day. I even put my second shot just off the green and was chipping for eagle (can’t say that too often!). Needless to say I think you just got another premium member 👍🏽

One of your most instructional videos. I recently started focusing on keeping my arms straight and in doing so I started to notice that I felt my left shoulder socket stretch a bit at the end of my backswing and then started the downswing by feeling a slight pull in the same left shoulder socket. My swing radius is now super consistent and I began flushing my irons very consistently. This changed my ball striking and added about 5-10 yds per club like magic. This video seemed perfectly timed and this advice is some of the best I have ever received. Thank you so much!

The best lesson on YT. I shot an 84 yesterday just following the "elbows together, turn the shoulders" methodology that Tom teaches here. It could easily have been sub 80 with less 3 putts. This lesson and swing thought is so good, it seems pointless experimenting with anything else, the results don't lie.

Hey Tom... Long time listener first time caller... I'm inspired to comment after saturating my brain with your system. I find myself going over all your stuff ad nauseum in an attempt to replace all my old bad habits and antiquated swing thoughts with this elegant S&T system you teach. Yesterday I put a super ugly 54 on the front (2 2 2 2 1 4 2 1 2 overs) and was tempted to call it a day but pressed on and continued my duffing doubling 10 & 11 (took me four shots to get on a par three green - ugh) on the par 5 #12 I snapped out of it and managed to put a drive firmly in play and then hit my second shot nicely into position. With nothing but overs so far the genuine look at par seemed to wake me up and I hit a crispy little 50 yard pitch to about 12 feet and experienced a light bulb moment. I realized that for the first time all day I actually watched the ball come off off the club face. I guess that's because I was hitting the ball all over the place and I was overly concerned about SEEING where it went (so I could find it!) by throwing my eyes and head out there to pick up the ball flight before I even struck the ball (as if I was watching someone else hit).  I came to the conclusion that this was a REALLY bad habit.

With my only swing thought for the rest of the round being to keep my head down and witness the KFC I went two over for the last 7 holes. HUGE improvement just like that. I didn't have to peek, I hit the damn ball where I intended to. Huh, what a concept! (2 2 0 1 1 0 0 0 0 overs on the back nine)

Incidentally, I'm a 70 year old career musician taking golf back up after a seven year break due to bad eyesight (cataracts - now repaired) and I spread the word of Seguto Golf liberally. The way you communicate is superb. We're here to have fun right? You make golf a TON of FUN! My only suggestions would be... talk a little about WATCHING the ball leave the club face and MORE COMEDY!

Shot my best today, 83, and it is because of your swing instruction!!! I’m practicing what you preach and it works like magic!!! Could have broke 80 but bad course management on a hole cost me. I’m a true believer!!!

This is exactly what I needed, Tom! Starting your swing lessons had me feeling rigid/stiff as you describe. You saying this gives me peace of mind that I'm on my way to a new, consistent swing. Also, seeing the elbow tucked in the level angle vs. tilted to the ball angle was a key concept to my further understanding of this swing. Looking forward to playing better golf!

Thank you Tom
You’re teaching is like a breath of fresh air so simple it’s not funny. I am still struggling with keeping my weight forward and keeping my head still throughout start to finish per the instruction you had on Jack Nicklaus illustration on the imaginary shaft down the middle of your head and also concentrating on the ball getting in the way of the swing instead thinking of hitting the ball which has been a hurdle I just can’t get over. When I totally follow your instructions it works a 100% my desire is just to make consistent solid contact .
Thank you Tom !!! you have certainly given me at 59 years young hope and confidence to want to play a game that should be enjoyable and not frustrating . I gave up golf 25 plus years ago and went fishing instead because fishing came so natural to me, but your teaching has resurrected my desire to try golf again.

I have been following you for quite some time and in trying to stay connected, i felt my arms were not able to move enough. Your explanation of how the arms should connect to your upper chest solved this problem for me. Thank you.

Best description of the trail arm tuck position I've seen! Great to see the standing vs bent over position for it. Love your work Tom

I"ve mentioned this in your golf school, but for anyone who isn't yet a member, I can attest that the Precision Impact Trainer really works. It did a lot to correct my "wandering" hands during my swing. Money well spent!

I've been a member and a follower now for several years. Tom brings you consistency and joy. Par 3s are a blast for me now. Crispy.

Absolutely fixed everything!! I am a brand new golfer and could not figure out the swing. Inconsistent contact. Embarrassing.

This video changed everything!!!! Thank you.

This is all so true. I worked it out recently through self discovery, however I am going to state my NUMBER 1 tip. I would say the hinge of the right hand is the fundamental starting point. If you get this idea of the wrist staying open and locked you will develop the swing you need to get a square face. If you dont lock the wrist, what will happen is that your wrists will prevent you from developing the body swing. Try swinging your arms and then hinging your wrists to hit the ball at 100 mph. Not possible. Youre much better off locking the wrists and getting the body into a square position. Its taken me 4 years to get here but honestly if you are an amateur golfer who wants to half their handicap in less than 2 weeks, this is the crucial change needed.

Hi coach, after months of studying your videos, following your style, today my swing was repetitive and effective! Leaving aside the distance, I was amazed by the ball contact and the looseness! I didn't have a thousand thoughts to follow. Just rotate your shoulders and bang! Thank you so much! For me, fun golf starts today!
