NASA Chose SpaceX To Land Humans On The Moon | TMI Hot Take

I never do this, but this news was so big I wanted to give a hot take on it. NASA chose SpaceX for their Human Landing System (HLS) for the Artemis program.

This is great news. I understand that not only are SpaceX further along in their development cycle and have repeatedly proven that they can deliver on time and on budget, but their bid was substantially cheaper than the other two bids!

The Blue Origin design was a Frankenstein-ish amalgamation of parts from different companies. So glad they didn't pick that one.

I'm really surprised honestly, I thought we were way more likely to see a Dynetics or Blue Origin lander than a Space X one! Hopefully this means we get to see a speedier development for starship.

NASA’s whole thing with Artemis is that it’s practice for going to Mars so by choosing a vehicle that is actually intended to go to Mars for the moon mission makes a lot of sense
