Because SpaceX is an actual space company, while Blue Origin does space CGI.

NASA told SpaceX to stop work on lander. Elon flipped the bird flew and landed Starship two days later. Then even though SN16 is assembled he decided to refly SN15 with short turnaround to double flip off others.

So far, Space X has been developing at a Record Pace, whereas Blue Origin and Dynetex have not shown any kind of Development. Space X has the Dragon now taken Americans back to the ISS. Space X had a Rocket system that has been used over and over Launching. Space X is now testing Prototypes for Space ships and landers. So, where are the Devoplements coming out of the other two?

The SpaceX lander would not use the main engine for landing due to the possibility of 1) debris and 2) kicking up it up into orbit. For landing it would use a series of smaller dracos located up higher on the vehicle.

I think it's because SpaceX gets shit done, is able to inspire the public and new generation of young engineers. "Helping" them with any aspect of Starship development in an investment into exciting future.

You’re ignoring the fact that the source selection document also gave Starship the highest rating independent of price

Took almost 6 minutes when it could’ve been summed up to “NASA didn’t have the funding to support picking 2 Lunar landers and had to settle for 1 instead”

Blue origin's prototype looks like mini death star.

SpaceX has leaped ahead, while Blue origin, has been playing, with their expensive amusement park ride. Up and down, up and down.

This video is wrong😅😅 NASA in there summary said why the other two were not chosen and money was not a consideration. Blue origins lander was not reusable and dynetics "lander" couldn't actually land... Not exactly viable

Crazy thought but blue origin lack of going to orbit likely played a large part

SO what about the legal action taken by Blue origin and the other outfit? They got passed over and then threw a hissy fit.

Its because starship exists. The competitors have paper products only.

No, there was another really big reason. Space X is the ONLY ONE of the three that are actually flying people into space right now.

It wasn’t just Money, their landers had lots of technical problems, imagine you design being too heavy

Money was the reason only 1 lander was selected, but it is NOT the reason they choose SpaceX. NASA choose Starship because it had the highest technical and management rating. BTW the fact it is much bigger was one of the factors. It enables NASA to take heavier, cheaper and large, odly shaped equipment that just wouldn´t fit into the other landers.

NASA chose a vehicle that was actually doing test flights over one that consists mostly of powerpoint slides and vauge threats of legal action.

Price had a significant impact on the decision..but so did the clear fact that Spacex will be reaching the Moon and then Mars with or without NASA.

The possible reality of NASA still working on getting to the Moon while Elon sends his Starship to Mars is simply not a politically acceptable option.

Not sure what’s louder, SpaceX’s rockets or the music in this video
