Are you looking for an inexpensive way to make your own picture frames? Well, this is a video you want to watch. I’m sharing how I easily made my own.

Project Supplies:

Since I do DIY projects a lot, I do not factor in the cost for tools since I already have them.

- 1” x 2” x 6’ ft Wood (Qty: 4 - Count depends on how many and size of frames) @ Home Depot
- Sponge Brush
- Wood Glue
- Black Matte Spray Paint
- Miter Saw or Miter Box & Saw
- Clamps
- Wood Filler
- 220 Grit Sandpaper
- Brad Nailer (Optional)

I'll earn a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you which really helps support my channel!

I truly think you are one of the best and most creative woman diy-ers ? on youtube. I always enjoy your content.

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it yet but, if you put some (a dab will do) wood glue on the seams and lightly sand the areas with 220 grit sand paper it will conceal the seams better and cheaper👍🏻 Good video though!

Great video. I will be watching it again. But how does your canvas stay inside the frame and not fall through?

You make it look easy. The sign of a good teacher, I think.

Great video!!! I'm interested in seeing how you mount a picture in the frame and using a miter box.

Ayyeee! Get it! Thanks for the inspiration. I was ready to shell out $100+ for a frame and here you made it look like a cake walk. I'm headed out to pick up everything soon!

Great video! Will you also show how to make a bevel cut, like the type you'd see in a chair rail. That gives extra character to the frame. So that it's not so bluntly cut there are rounded edges.

I found that you get more even cuts if you cut all the miters on the same angle. Rather than flipping the miter saw to the other 45 degrees, I flip the wood so I'm always cutting the miter from the left side of the saw. I've found that the 45 degrees is not an exact match when you use both sides of the frame.
