I love the little time-lapses in between that show your reactions to the things you’ve read, they make me giggle and highly curious about the book 😊

I never thought about that with librovox and how jarring that would be. I've always listened/watched a lot of British content and known British immigrants so British accents are almost entirely invisible to me. So often if I'm listening to something I don't clock if it's North American or British.

I agree with your take on listening to an American accent reading a British classic, but that’s the caveat with Librivox, and I don’t care for various narrators reading a single book, too. There’s a splendid Librivox narrated version of A Christmas Carol by an American reader and it’s jarring when he annunciates the word /kla:k/ as clerk. Otherwise he’s a brilliant narrator, although, still lacks the lovely British intonation and vowel and syllable sounds that make it distinctively British. Always good to see you, Katie!
