I swear to god never felted this level of frustration. I wanted to edit my essay but somehow I couldn’t and for three days I struggled to get back my word to normal. My problem is that I have just acquired Word 2019 and although my default font is Sans Serif and size is 10, when I go to size 8 or 9, the depth of colour is noticeably different and way too faint. The font doesn't look like Sans Serif anymore, either. I like Sans Serif because I want the font to be as plain as possible for easy reading. Word also changed a lot of my permanent settings but I have slowly found how to change some of them but not this one. I hate it. Why can't they leave well enough alone? I don't know why Word should affect the net but the font has changed for typing on the net, as well. Can you please help me? Even the font on this paragraph is different to what it used to be.

I don't have Edit or Print mode on my ribbon. I must have removed them years ago. I've just got Word 2016 after using Word 2010 for years. I've tried putting Print Layout on my ribbon but it doesn't show anything. What do I do? I also want to use the open icon from the ribbon to go directly into the browser list without using FILE but when I put 'Open' on the ribbon it just opened FILE. HELP. I hate this version of Office. The print looks different not only in Word but on the net, as well. It isn't the plain look that I like and it seems like it's half BOLD. Capital Is and Hs are very light, too.
