Have you ever heard of a light year? Surely yes, but do you know what it is?
A light year is the distance light travels in a year in a vacuum. Although it sounds impressive, it is not such a complicated concept.
To put it in perspective, the speed of light is approximately 300,000 km/s, and a year has 31,536,000 seconds. If we multiply the speed of light by the number of seconds in a year, we get the distance that light travels in that period, which is approximately 9.46 trillion kilometers.
In conclusion, a light year does not measure years, it measures kilometers.

My vacuum rarely gets taken out of the closet, so any light inside doesn't travel very far in a year.

Light speed is something else 😂😂😂😂. Imagine 300, 000 km in a second huh that's absolutely fastest than any other thing.

When you work everyday and your boss complains no matter how much you accomplish and your wife bitches when you get home, that's a heavy year. After you retire, that's a light year.
