So if you defined the size of the solar system as the orbit of Pluto, and that orbit were 1 milimeter across, the light-year would measure 80 centimeters.
The nearest star is 4 light-years away. That is 320 centimeters or 3.2 meters.

It's so crazy to think that if we had left Earth 100 years ago at light speed we would have only made it less than a percent through our galaxy. Yet for us on Earth, the past 100 years has so much history. 100 years ago was BEFORE World War II and so many other historic events. Time is only meaningful to us on our planet but in space 100 years means nothing.
