This is one of the best videos ive seen - that loose takeaway literally fixed my entire swing and it also start from your legs (shiftinf that weight properly). Awesome video.

Another great session Eric. Grant is smooth as silk and a model to emulate. Love how he transitions to the left side literally before he moves down and makes great contact. Stay well my friend-Russ

Thanks Eric. Appreciate the detailed explanations you give. I struggle with tempo.
Comes to mind is that the faster you try and swing the greater the demands you make on your timing and sequencing. For amateur and elderly golfers we need to make it as easy and effortless as possible.

I have finally begun to figure it out, my distance has improved dramatically while I also feel so much less stress on my body and feel I'm swinging slower while also gaining 25 percent easily. My best swings come from a good tempo, takeaway and where my head is at impact 😂 don't know why but for me if my head isn't correct at impact and yes I mean my actual head not my club head the strike will be weak and swept feeling rather than smooth and powerful . The takeaway, and the grip are 100 percent important for my swing as well . If I don't feel like I start my back swing with my hips well before my arms reaching backwards and eventually up I'm screwed . I have been a short hitter since I started playing, I used to struggle to get my rescue hybrid 175 yards and now I'm absolutely smashing it by my standards anyway 😂 over 200 by a long shot. My eyes aren't the best these days so I struggle to see the ball at distance but I know it's generally somewhere past 200 and landing inside 225 on a great strike . Now I'm not bragging and I realize that's pathetic for some people's standards but I'm damn proud of it considering I couldn't hit my driver that far last season . My irons have also greatly improved! Now I know what it looks, sounds and feels like to compress the ball, last year my p wedge went about 116 yards and this year it's 145 to 150 on a great one . Now that I've learned this my yardages are all messed up but I do not care hahahaha ! Last weekend.i eagled a par 5 on my home course that last year I could have never dreamed of getting near much less on in two, and I did it without even pulling my driver out of my bag ! ( Driver still sucks ) 😂 But anyways grant has helped me out to get this far and while I'm not really working on distance anymore I will probably continue to get a bit more as my speed and quality of strike come up . If you are struggling, keep going and listen to the advice offered here or you could wind up kicking yourself for having wasted so much time trying to hulk smash your shots only to have them come out weak and slicey .

I'm brand new to golf but play a lot of pool, and "hold the finish" was great advice for improving my stroke. So I'm sold.

I nearly stopped the video after 1:30 when you said “look at other players at Grants level like Ernie Els and Fred Couples” 😂

Thanks for the info on the consistent grip pressure during the swing. Felt it the other day that I start off light then strangle it at the transition

Would love to see a Blast sensor on his swing to get his timing data! Great combo you two

Hey guys just to dive into the effortless part, here it is…
Tip #1 have perfect form
Tip #2 be 6’4” plus
Tip #3 live somewhere with no winter
Tip #4 be famous and get invited to play golf every other day

Hey you guys subtitled this “How I turned my arms off” - but apart from gripping pressure didn’t talk about that much. Can you elaborate? Grant mentions letting gravity take his arms down - is that it? (I’m asking because I overpower my downswing - it’s way too arm-y. And I think that interferes with smooth tempo.)

The Rahm swing seems like it would need more grip pressure. I wonder if this is swing style dependent

Great video! 70% weight on front foot….is this approach basically the same as “Stack/Tilt”?

Sweet. Where should the pressure be on your feed? Balls, heels or just in the center?

I def have that 3-4 grip to a 8 at the top of the swing. I need to try that looseness
