Believe me, I own a black one. As time and usage progress, the sound quality enhances. Despite its compact size, the bass is phenomenal. I have been utilizing it for three years with no complications, except that the rubber bands beneath the speaker have worn out.

Let's remember that there is no need to exceed high volume levels since the pool can damage the waterproof packaging, be careful

It will survive, but lifespan will be short, it's enough little drop for corrosion will do the job eventually. If it happened don't worry, but if its expensive to you, don't try this 😉

My JBL charge 3 in 2015 was absolutely bulletproof. We used it as a football in the pool and even threw it off the high dive. ( it landed on the concrete once and was totally fine other than a lil dent)
