Let me tell you one powerful method to learn English,

Start THINKING in English. Be your thought process be entirely in English, especially when you are alone. This method will let u learn quite significantly as thoughts are generated from subconsciousness, making u more comfortable than the feeling of being forced to learn it. Plus, u don't have to feel any embarrassment as nobody can hear our thoughts unless we say out loud. I ca assure this will work. Start thinking in English from here on now. Cheers !

As a native English speaker myself I can tell you that its definitely true, losing track of your words in English is a common problem.
The language itself is a problem. It has more words than any other language and is based on 3 unrelated root languages with inconsistent phonetics. The fact that someone who didnt learn it in early childhood can speak English at all is an achievement we really shouldnt undersell.

I wish you all the best, hope that you realize how well you're doing, and one piece of helpful advice- if people correct your pronouncing of a word its because they want to help you, not to make you feel bad. They dont want to make you feel bad or awkward but when someone says a word in a very unusual way, its immediately noticeable and distracting, people tend to lose track of what they were hearing when they hear a word said really unusually. Its just something about the workings of the brain. This can be devastating for presenting information as your audience may forget what you were saying, so by correcting you they're trying to save you any future problems by giving you one kind-hearted, if slightly embarrassing, recommendation now. And the vast majority of the time they're not trying to be racist in any way- its not unusual for us to have to correct other native English speakers too when they say something incorrectly, so please dont feel singled out.

Yes it's not about the vocabulary, it's about the hesitation and usage of tense we use in sentences, eg we know how to convert Hindi words in English but to convert the tense into English from our mother language and speak the whole sentence is the main problem.

Just make a habit to speak for about 2-5 mins a day with someone or with your ownself and read English books and news. Its about consistency and I surely believe that you'll see yourself improving.👍

(Edit) I too get blank out while speaking English but it decreased while i practiced daily.

Great pieces of advices from you aleena. I will try to incorporate this technique that you've shared to us. Speaking in front of the mirror can be a crazy act but I think it will tremendously improve my english fluency. Just stay consistent, keep practicing, keep showing up and we will harness the results in the near future. Thanks
