We know that slower brainwaves — normally associated with lowered mental activity, relaxation and sleep — can affect our daily behaviour, cause us to make errors and lose focus on tasks. Now, new research shows that the location of these waves can predict loss of attention, quantify the kind of consequences it will have, and also distinguish between 'mind wandering' and 'mind blanking'. ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh explains the findings and their implications.

the following everyday has fixed the issue for me..

1) run / walk below sun light about twice a day x 30 mins each.

2) morning yoga and stretches all day long

3) balanced diet of proteins Fibre carbs vitamins

4) coffee before 3pm

5) sleep by 10am and
Wake up by 5am

I have been meditating daily for over a year and this really checks out. When I am sleep deprived, my mind wanders more though blanking I am not sure.

Mind wonder when the speaker is so beautiful...have to focus consciously to what she says. A useful video for understanding our mind and behaviour.

Mind blanking and sleep deprivation will be cured , if you do good meditation or chanting divine mantras for an hour everyday..morning will be ideal time

Yes. A great series by Sandhya R and The Print. Any programme without “politics” and opinions is great for educating the society at large. Way to go. I wonder why politics is discussed instead of just letting it happen.
