Here is a list of 20 things that I don't buy anymore as a minimalist. These are just my personal preferences and I'm sure that this lifestyle definitely won't work for everybody. I'm more dedicated to sort of an extreme version of minimalism so I didn't include here very basic things but tried to pick more interesting items.
Thank you for watching and for all of your support and kindness! I appreciate it a lot💛

Guys, I’ve just noticed that I used the wrong word!😂 On 15:00 it’s MAGAZINES actually, not JOURNALS😅
(In Russian language the word magazine sounds the same as “journal” so I kinda mixed them up, sorry💛)

So inspiring to see a real life, non aesthetic-based minimalist! I feel like I can learn so much from you because you look, sound and think like a normal person! Subscribed!

The only one that blew my MIND is no music. I would literally go insane. Music has helped people get through so many things. I’ve never heard of anyone not liking music. Interesting but whatever works for your lifestyle! Really good video💗

My thoughts. Example: If you own 4 plates and 6 cups then make them nice. Why not? In the end you still have 4 plates and 6 cups but they are nice. The only difference is they will be esthetically pleasing. There is nothing wrong with owning nice things. You can still be a minimalist. A minimalist with nice things.

I gave away everything I owned except a small amount of clothing and my vehicle. I kept my crystals, a little makeup, school yearbooks. I am 55 and gave photo albums to my kids and jewelry as if I'm going to die tomorrow. I live with my boyfriend...I pay little rent, save money to help my 2 children...wedding coming and college coming. I see myself happily living in a travel trailer in the future

I get what you say about secondhand helping your mental health. I get really overwhelmed with tons of choices, so when I have a few things to choose from and find something that I really like it's the best feeling ever!

Due to the lockdown I haven't spend a dime on things besides food and thing like soap and other essentials. Saved a bunch of money and my appartment is way less messy.

Your an inspiration to me
As Americans I feel we have a huge issue with over spending and consumption. All of my European friends have more in the bank and just are more thoughtful about what they buy. Now America is catching on! I'm 51 and I am downsizing it feels good to be free of material things and I don't spend my entire weekend cleaning anymore. I love the small wardrobe I have, I actually wear my clothes. I now have 3 purses and it's enough. I'm still working on it. But I recommend everyone to try it in some way.

* looks over at mug collection * yeah, I'll never be a minimalist. I don't have a desire to be one anyway. I just find it very interesting how we can all be so different.

The American writer Henry David Thoreau famously said, "We don't own things. Things own us."

I totally relate to you about buying second hand. It’s always so exciting to find what you’ve been looking for in a second hand store. :)

If minimal makes you happy, do it! But Christmas tree? Do it for Agatha and your husband.🙂. You can decorate simply. Paper snowflakes and popcorn on a string go a long way!

I'm so impressed with the amount of things you have cut out of your life . Seems like a clutter free life better for mental health. I have a very busy house constantly wondering how to tidy up and make things fit in
