When comparing these spec’d out versions, you could buy the iMac 27 and an 11 inch IPad Pro for the same price as the 16-inch. I think that’s the ball game in terms of portability and power.

When the new 27" iMac dropped I had a look and I was quite impressed, was even kinda regretting my purchase of my 16" MacBook Pro that I almost maxed out, but then the key thing for me was portability, although I never leave my house with it, I do move it around my house all the time and use it everywhere, so I'm glad I went with the MacBook Pro, best purchase for my use.

I think the best choice nowadays is going for an iMac and iPad Pro. Serious work without compromising performance on desktop and mails, web-browsing and why not also some serious work on the go.

I'm an iMac person. I'm retired and have a desk. I love having a full-sized keyboard with a numeric pad. But I don't have a touch bar, nor fingerprint nor face recognition. One thing I note for Zoom is that the camera is a good distance from the center of the screen, so I'm looking up. Not moving my Mac around also means it is always plugged into my Time Machine. One advantage of Intel is that I can boot to a SSD that has Mojave on it, as I still have a program that I need that still doesn't have its 64-bit version ready.

I just bought the base i9 16" MBP. They had them $300 off on Amazon over the weekend and it was tax free weekend in SC so I saved about $500. I want my laptop to have the ability to run Windows in Bootcamp.

I’ve been watching you for a while but it is the first time I took a serious decision as you really convinced me, I literally returned the macckbookpro 16” and orderd the27’’ imac with 16gb graphics 1tb hd I’ll upgrade the ram to 64gb when it arrives and that will save me over £1000 . It is being delivered tomorrow and it's like Christmas in August. I opted for the i7 model with extra storage and will, of course, do my own memory upgrade.
