Just discovered this show a couple of months ago, here in the U.S. Brilliant writing by Horgan and company, and played by a perfect cast. Binged all three seasons in a week.

these people seem weird, do people actually do these things, when i was 6 my mum just asked me what i wanted to do on my birthday, and then she told everyone i wanted to go to cinema and pirates theme (you go as pirates)... my mum just told everyone what to do, and all the kids in my class came to my party as pirates.

why doesn't she just tell the other mums what she wants, and then if they dont like it, she can tell them it's her kids birthday so her kid gets to decide the

Horgan and Linehan both fucked up with this. It's no Catastrophe or Father Ted. Yes, UK Mombies are snide and political, but this - even for the sake of 'comedy' - is taken too far. The constant running about and needless panic of our heroine grate after a while. The whole thing seeks refuge in slapstick, the death of all comedy. Hint to writers: watch Detectorists and pay attention.
