I got to sucked in by the models. I think you may be on to something about the EPAC

H1 now. I'm in USVI. We had rain all night, so it isn't dry here. Our cover of Sahara dust is gone. I'm glad we've replaced our glass windows for Miami shutters.

The crazy story is Super Typhoon Maria though. Rapid intensification from a cat 1 to a cat 5 (160mph, 918mb). It's now threatening the Japanese Ryuku Islands as a strong typhoon in the next few days

Hey Mark, is it a possibility that after degenerating it might regenerate again? like Harvey (2017), Bonnie (2016), Dorian and Gabrielle (2013) etc... If the remnants keep hanging out for long enough and the conditions are conducive (depending on where it goes, some show it going up north along the East Coast, others in the southern Tropics), could that happen? Especially now that the track seems to be shifting a little down to the south, avoing most of that shear wall. I mean, many models keep Beryl alive after encountering the shear winds so in my opinion it has the chance to survive that.

Degenerate Regenerate? Hmmm sounds like what Harvey did.

I live on the mid-central east coast of Florida and the water here is very warm for this time of year so I am not counting on the storms weakening as quickly as the "experts" are saying.

Interesting little fact: No Atlantic storm with the name 'Beryl" has ever reached hurricane strength.

Until now.
