im not a dancer but these movements really helped my body release so much tension i didn’t even know i had. Im going to do this as a daily routine to get my day started.

I’ve been intimidated to enter dance class mainly cause I don’t feel confident in my movement. But this dance therapy has really helped me express myself and let go of tension

I’ll try this today before dancing cause I really struggle with perfectionism in dancing.I always live in a future and focus too much on choreography rather than just enjoying and feeling the movements and living in present and that caused anxiety and stiffness.I literally can’t relax and feel my movements.

3:20 shake out hands
3:40 pull chest in and out
4:20 move chest in circle

5:36 abdominal rolls
5:58 back bends + shake upper body out

Such a beautiful soul! Im in my mid 20s and want to learn how to dance better but you sure did nail the part when you said words like: don’t worry about how you look, it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t look good. I tell you…I felt so free doing this while in front of my bathroom mirror. And I actually looked decent lol. Im sweating as I type this. Im definitely doing this three times a week! Thank you

Thank you for sharing with the world. When I was a child I used to dance every day by myself in my room and later going out I used to love to just dance the night away. I lost that energy and natural drive to just move somewhere along the way. It felt good to just move around freeform and take it really easy just now in my livingroom by myself with only the cats watching :) . I've been so frozen in my body with anxiety for years. I think this gentle way if I pace myself will do so much good. Thank you!
