While all computers use memory or RAM to run and store applications, client devices such as desktop PCs, laptops and workstations use very different RAM from servers. Very informative video - you mention about not mixing registered and ECC DIMMs in a s server configuration, but would it make a difference in mixing manufacturers of the DIMMs, or are they all essentially the same?

Here's a conundrum: If your Network Controller with virtualization, has direct access to the L3 cache, does ECC Registered memory make any difference? ECC memroy? Hope the Network Controller's buffer/cache is working properly?
