Recently, Israel's credit rating was downgraded as a result of the war and its effect on the Israeli society. In this video, we're going to take a look at how the Israeli economy developed over the years, why things were looking up before October 7th, and why the picture is a bit darker today.

Don't forget the amount of financial aid and military aid they receive each year which is more than 5 billion a year.

If you remove half a million of men and women from the workforce, what could go wrong? 🤔

I'm surprised they didn't say Fitch Ratings is working for Hamas.

I'm surprised they didn't call Fitch Ratings antisemitic.

It doesn't help investor confidence when Netanyahu is vague about what a victory means and takes more steps to increase tensions than reduce them, with many inside the country asking how seriously he is treating ceasefire talks.

Welp, it's official. Fitch is Hamas.

Critising Israels' economy is antisemitic!

The US has a law that stops companies from 'boycotting' Israel. The US also funds a lot in its defence. If the US didn't help Israel as much, it would've collapsed

economic problems and debt means nothing to Israel because the USA sends 3.5 billion in aid every year and besides that the US corporations spend hundreds of millions in Israel

"israel's economy started growing after neoliberal reform"
Shows a graph where the GDP growth appears to decrease after 1980

1948 was the nakba, dude don't be biased. The land was stolen from its original owners.
Don't call the brutal actions against the palestinians by ziofacists a war... at least call it a masacre.

A little country that has received over £220 billion FREE dollars for a population of just 9m? Throw that some money at a little country like Chile and it would go a major geopolitical power. What a joke.

Israel's economy has been historically unphased by wars. The problem is that the current government is incredibly fiscally irresponsible and not willing to cut spending on Haredi subsidies and unnecessary government ministries. The current government has managed to undo about 10 years of economic progress in just 2, which is honestly just downright impressive.

israel has been the number 1 recipient of foreign aid / capita for multiple decades. The US has insane leverage over israel but they never use it or maybe they just dont realize they have it

I don't understand why the video shows footage of damage in civillian areas of Gaza while the voiceover is about Israel. Gives the impression the footage is of Israel. Puzzling.

It's honestly not just about credit score. It's also about permanent reputational damage. How many countries can pretend what happened in Gaza never happened and continue to trade normally?
