Back To Basics: Lemon Drizzle Cake! | Georgia's Cakes

My third recipe in the Back To Basics series: Lemon Drizzle Cake. I genuinely can't think of a better flavour for a loaf cake. So tangy, moist and delicious. The trick is to really drench the cake in lemon sugar syrup for that extra zingy-ness!

Recipe:
Cake:
170g melted butter
260g caster/granulated sugar
150g (3) egg
260g self-raising flour
130ml milk
Vanilla extract
Zest 1 large lemon

Crystalised Lemon zest:
1 lemon, peeled
150g sugar
100ml water

Bake at 175°C for 30-40 minutes
