Moving a HOUSE!!

The existing six-year-old house resided on school district property slated for a new junior high school, requiring demolition of the home. Hughes set out to relocate the home instead of sending it to the landfill. It took 18 months to find suitable property to move the home to; to rezone, subdivide, and tear down an existing building to make room for the home; and to develop the subdivision and build new foundations. However the actual transport of the home to its new location took only 38 minutes.

How does one start a process of moving a house. My parents home will be torn down if I don't move it. Can be done, but this was only a short distance. So many questions...

Some moving contractors in Illinois moved a brick motel building. The had to do it in three pieces because they couldn't make the turns through town on the 2 lane highway. They had an old truck they rebuilt . They had a couple of transmissions together to get a snails pace out of it.

I would be worried about the structural integrity of this house. I read the description and this house is not a factory pre-fabricated home which is fastened at the client site but rather an actual house. But anyways amazing skills and efforts.

Big or small, their's no doubt it would cost a whole lot of money in order to move an entire house. Especially depending on the distance between the old location & the new location.

I'm only a senior in high school but I already have a plan. I will buy a House in Arizona and a brand new car in Florida and move both of them back to LA. Everything is expensive as fuck here. But the thing is LA is one of the highest paying cities in the country so I believe this strategy can work
