China awards 6 intl. figures the Medal of Friendship

Six foreign citizens have been awarded the Medal of Friendship. China said the award is presented to those who support the country's modernization, promoting exchange between China and the world and safeguarding world peace. The six award recipients are from Cuba, Thailand, Tanzania, Russia, France and Canada.
