RIP Kyu Sakamoto, and to the rest of the 520 who lost their lives that evening. They all had lives, families, friends, and stories.😢

Hearing the 'SINKRATE, PULL UP' alarm does sound really terrifying in the real cockpit. Usually in the flight sims, we do some silly stuff and hear those and think nothing about it. Really scary.

If they were able to turn out to the sea, they might have actually been able to ditch inside of it or even made it back to Haneda. The fact they turned inland and survived 30 minutes is a miracle itself.

It was the deadliest single aircraft crash in aviation history, the deadliest was the Tenerife disaster involving 2 747s

since the accident, many have tried this flight via simulation, and no one was ever able to last as long as the real life pilots did. gods bless these men, they managed to do the seemingly impossible, while i may add, suffering from hypoxia for a good portion of the flight.

they tried 30 minuted to save the plane, but unfortunately they failed, but saving 4 passengers with no vertical stabilizer for 30 minutes is just, very talented yet sad .

It's a miracle that they were able to keep plane up in the air for 30 minutes only, but that miracle had run out when the plane turned upside down and slammed to the mountain...

The pilots didn't knew that the entire tail was gone when the pressurized bulkhead broke apart due to poor maintenance....

I followed up on this accident and why it happened. Japan air ( at the time ) did repairs to this plane rudder and rear tail flaps . Unfortunately that whole repair area fell apart during flight, that's why they couldn't control the aircraft

I even used my Flight Simulator to recreate the same condition of the crew struggling to fly the plane. But i noticed that the crash was inevitable. So once the tail of the plane broke, there was nothing that the pilots could do to save the plane. Still today, i feel sad for the crew. R.I.P all
