I agree with this 100%. I needed a few spare part for my 1971 Mercedes W115 a few years back, called up every business & person in the East & West cost, nobody had it. Then went down south to a small time parts guy and told him the Mercedes belonged to my grand dad & I needed it to be fully functional so that I can remember all the times he took me in it for ice cream & joy rides. The guy looked at me and said, I don't have it here but a cousin of mine may know someone who's going to Germany, he can try to get you the parts. I knew it was a long shot but at that time, I needed all the help I can get. I kid you not, he called me a few days later & said the guy found your parts & he ll deliver it to me soon. That one guy brought back so much joy in my life just by caring a little more than others. I don't know how many times I have called or texted that guy just to say thank you and invite him over for dinner or a cup of coffee. All he types back is you re very welcome.

Very true. When I was in healthcare, I'd sometimes take on the angry patients just to see if I could calm them down. Usually they had a perfectly valid complaint, had not been told what to expect, or hit the door and were met by someone with no people skills who said something stupid to them. If you just acknowledge their complaint as valid and try to help them, 90% of the time they will calm down and do what needs to be done.

But one person was finally honest with me because she was frustrated enough and said she needed a seamstress Little did she know she was talking to someone with over 20 years of sewing experience

You ALWAYS catch more flies with honey... I got something that normally takes 5 days in a couple of hours ... it was for a huge college project that was due the next day. I explained what I wanted to the clerk ... she got her supervisor because she didn't have the authority to do it ... I wanted my transcripts from my Associates Degree. Supervisor heard what I wanted... i didn't get mad or belligerent... they didnt have to be official or anything and I understood if they couldnt ... She said there is a fee as well ... I was like no problem ... she said come back in a few hours. I got an official transcript and an A!!! ❤😂❤😂
