We all know that Jiraya lost against orochimaru because he was trying to make him think of what he was doing and change his mind. He was trying to killed him. If he did he would've won that fight.

For people saying Sage Mode is immune to genjutsu, think again. Kabuto had to avoid his OWN GENJUTSU (well it’s Tayuya’s but he stole it) by closing his ears, and limiting his eyesight. Kabuto also specifically looked away from Itachi because he knew about Itachi’s visual prowess. Sage mode definitley strengthens your abilities, but it doesn’t make you immune to genjutsu

anyone saying that itachi said they would loose to jiraiya, that was clearly said so they dont fight and kill jiraiya. itachi was a spy for konoha let's not forget that. who in their right mind would think that itachi who is categorized at the same league as nagato would loose to jiraiya

Gonna have a hard disagree here. Itachi, even in Susanoo can’t touch sage mode. Idk if this would win the fight though…I think more than likely, they would end up killing each other.

Bro jiraya didn't want to kill oruchimaru plus he got DRUGED BY TSUNADE AND BERELY COULD USE HIS CHACRA. Itachi was known to have very low chakra reserves, HE WAS SICK, and only could use his ms 3 to 4 times, oh and ma and pa could brake him out of the genjutsu, jiraya could attack Itachi from the ground since his susano had no legs( jiraya has a juts called dark swamp, it’s a earth style justu that literally engulfed 2 oruchimaru giant snakes, while he was under the drugs of tsunade. Jiraya literally was able to seal amaterasu and can stop it whit his hair.
