In today's quick one minute video, I show you how to reset Sonos Play 1 speaker as well as reset Sonos to factory settings. If you are experiencing connectivity issues with your Play 1 speaker, you may want to try performing a factory reset so your Sonos Play 1 speaker is reset to factory settings. This can clear up many issues in regards to connectivity and other issues.

To perform a reset Sonos Play 1, make sure you first unplug your Play 1 speaker from power, then press and hold down the play/pause button and volume up button on your speaker. You will see a white flashing LED light, that will then switch to orange and then to green. Once you see a green LED, you can release the buttons. Congratulations, you have now successfully reset your Sonos Play 1 speaker to factory settings.

Thanks for the video! My play 1 won’t stop flashing orange. The green light won’t come on after the reset. Do you know how I can fix that?

if you can’t reset it, what else can you do, can it be done in some other way

Useless device. No amount of resetting and reinstalling app worked. Smashed it with a hammer an moved to Google speakers. Much better

“Next we should see green”…..no I don’t. These speakers sound great when they work. Every four months or so some time-consuming process has to be performed to get them working again. Just not worth the hassle.
