In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.

This hits me to my core. I started attending Greg Laurie's church in Riverside, Harvest Christian Fellowship not long after this. I was 15 years old at the time. What brought me to the Lord was my older brother raped me at the age of 13. A week later Christ came into my life and never left, Bless His holy name. It's so wonderful to be able to (somewhat) relive those times. Coming out right before Easter is wonder.

I went to go see this movie today. Been a Christian all my life, but Jesus and I haven't hung out in a while so to speak. We reconnected in the summer of 2021 while I served Him at a Christian camp, and led 12 kids to Him, but I didn't come back to Him until last summer when I was going through a VERY dark valley. I was struggling to make rent, never got to spend time with my friends, and my roommates were at each other's throats. I turned to Him and for a while, everything was good. We were on good terms. Then for no reason, it just stopped. Earlier this week, I surrendered to His will and stopped running and the storm in my life just stopped like Lonnie describes in this wonderful movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and have told all my friends to go see it. We need another Jesus Revolution in this country, and this is a good step in the right direction
