Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down with the senior pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship, Greg Laurie. They discuss the true story behind the hit film “The Jesus Revolution,” Laurie’s relationship with hippie-preacher and counter-culture icon Lonnie Frisbee, how he found faith in the most unlikely of places, and the past 50 years of building his world-renowned ministry.

Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in California and Hawaii. He began his pastoral ministry at the age of 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Since then, God has transformed that small group into a church of some 15,000 people. Today, Harvest is one of the largest churches in America and consistently ranks among the most influential churches in the country.

In 1990, Laurie began holding large-scale public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades. Since that time, more than 9.8 million people have participated in these events in person or online around the United States. In 2012, Laurie launched Harvest America, a nationwide event using the internet to simulcast live HD video to thousands of locations across the country. With an unprecedented 306,000 Americans in live attendance, Harvest America ranks among the largest presentations of the gospel in United States history. Harvest Crusades have also been held internationally in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. More importantly, some 531,889 people have made professions of faith through these outreaches.

So cool to see Pastor Greg and Jordan Peterson together! I think the era Pastor Greg up in is so similar to today. Are we on the cusp of another great awakening?

There's definitely a resurgence going on. I was baptized October 20th. I'm 28 and no one pushed me into it. The holy spirit revealed himself to me as he is doing with many other youth. I wonder if it's because we're close to the end and he wants as many of us that are willing to hear his voice as possible to be saved. Thank you God for finding these lost sheep. For without your voice to guide us we would be lost.

This is a conversation I began while sitting and eating a sandwich, and ended with my heart burning, tears in my eyes, and on my knees praying.

Thanks for these conversations, Mr. Peterson. God Bless you and all your family. Cheers from your biggest fan in México.

"...heaven isn't for good people (as it's often said) heaven is for forgiven people." All glory to Christ!

My parents were young adults right at the center of the Jesus movement. They’re still, to this day, completely on fire for Jesus and raised us to be culturally non-conformant, and to find Jesus for ourselves. The generational effects of that revival are still powerful!

My mom was baptized on the beach by Chuck Smith in her twenties and my dad went from a Jewish born agnostic to a beautiful man of God because of him finding Christ in the Jesus movement when he was a teen where the Lord healed his heart after years of being abused by different people as a child. God bless those bold enough to share their stories of faith, as an adult now I don’t know who I’d be without my parents faith and watching how God works in our lives, however messy we can be at times!

What an awesome job you did Pastor Greg. Dr. Peterson can be hard to follow at times, but the Holy Spirit truly spoke through you. It was great to see you bring the conversation back to the Gospel over and over again, and then closing your conversation with the hope of heaven. Awesome!

I love this discourse because one gives the bible discourse and dove tailed with psychological perspective. Awesome!!

I think in many ways this is the best conversation you’ve ever had. As much as you talk about the Bible, it has been rare to have someone like Greg Laurie on your podcast. An actual preacher.

Wow Greg Laurie! Awesome for you Sir Professor Peterson! He is the Pastor who talked me through my cancer and my healing, 12 years ago, on utube.😅

I listen to Greg Laurie every morning on my way to the gym and I attend a church in Los Angeles where the pastor was working under Greg for 15 years. I've never been happier. God is good.

I was saved by the grace of God at 19 years old. I’m 23 now and have been witnessing many of my friends give their life to him. As much as they have tried to destroy this generation I’m happy to say that we are waking up to the truth and are turning to the one and true living God. Thank you Jesus! ❤️❤️❤️

Mr. Laurie, I have carried your start bible with me since I was 18. Without your references and sidebars I’d be lost with my thoughts. Thank you for being a disciple of Christ. I also, attended two harvest festivals at the dodgers stadium. Those were pivotal moments. Thank you for being a father figure/ mentor through your books. I have several other of your writings that have helped me daily with my marriage and my child rearing.

I've had the honor of listening to almost all of Jordan's fascinating conversations over the last 7 years or so. None have been more brilliantly illuminating and come as close to revealing the deepest aspects of ultimate truth that the human mind can plumb than this one with Greg Laurie. Truly mountains were moved when these two honest men came together.
