► The heatwave has began in the UK causing disruption across railways, airports and health warnings are in place for everyone.

Wales has provisionally recorded its hottest ever temperature, but there's another blistering day to go before it cools down a bit.

We used to love a good hot summer in britain. Not since the 1970s have we had a long heatwave. But a few days in one summer is great. Shame it's not the holidays. In 2004 I remember 40 degrees in Manchester.

The propaganda is insane, 4-5 days ago my mother said to me - "If you run your fan over night it cost £14". I was like, interesting how this idea comes out a few days before a unprecedented heatwave. It's almost like they want to make people fearful of even keeping themselves cool. It's pathetic.

What people don’t understand yeah it’s hot! But honestly it’s the humidity that makes it worse! I was born on the East Coast in the United States I wasn’t to fond of the heat I enlisted in the military in 06 but during my first appointment to the Middle East when temperatures was above 38°+ I honestly didn’t mind it simply because the lack of humidity!

I don't buy it. 3 years ago, it got so hot that I had to fish through the freezer to put a bag of frozen broccoli on my head to cool me down. Haven't had to do that since, even now. This is science. You're welcome. lol

Its all lies I checked the temperature outside my house with a manual thermometer it was only 28°c at 12pm 6°c under the temperature reported at the time
