WORK AROUND SOLUTION. Thanks for this video. Didn't have this tool and needed immediate solution. Used a small adjustable hose clamp for shim material (size less than 1/4" width -- so that it would fit in slot of connector.) Cut off the clamp, preserving just the band. Make the band at least 1/8" shorter than the circumference of the connector (definitely so that the edges don't touch together when wrapped around the connector.) With pliers pre-rounded it to match the connector's circumference shape. Then snapped it over the connector and used various narrow screw drivers to slide band (as a shim) down into connector (circa 1/8-3/16" down). Tug on connector to separate! VIOLA! Yankee ingenuity (at least it impressed my son!)

Kinda makes me wonder why other folks post videos over 10 min trying to explain how to do simple, straightforward tasks like this. Thank you for making this short, simple, and helpful!

This is cool and all of you don’t live in the salt belt, but anyone have any advice for someone that the tool won’t slide into the fitting because it’s rusted? Is cutting them off the only option
