We have the same culture as Senegal we speak the same language and have the same food. the only thing is we English speaking country which was separated by the French and British. You are not lying! It’s the most flavorful African food I have ever tasted. I was married to a Senegalese man, and he introduced me to this beautiful cuisine. I still make many of the dishes. There jollof rice is the best. Hands down! I’m not sure what Ghana and Nigeria are talking about! Big up to Senegal!

In Senegal we cook at least 3 times a day with fresh ingredients. Most don’t like to cook anything frozen. First must be caught on the same day or the night before. But now some will buy straight from the beach in Dakar and froze them themselves. In Senegal we all eat together around one big bowl. I miss my hometown Senegal, Country of Teranga (Hospitality)

I'm Ivorian and this is one of the best dishes I've ever ate. It's one of the most popular dishes in Ivory Coast. You know what? Senegalese food is hands down the best food in Africa without question. Mark my words.
That's why I always laugh in my headwhen I hear people brag about their "jollof rice", cuz it Ain't even a close comparison 😅😅🤣🤣

Ivorian here, I've recently traveled to some African English speaking countries, especially in the East. I also came to the same conclusion: West Francophone African cuisine is the best. I even joked with my friends there that we have the upgrade version of their pilau, and if they wanted to get a taste of it, they should visit Senegal and ask for jollof rice.
As far of Senegal v. Ivory Coast, I would say that we have a better variety of dishes. They only eat rice in Senegal.
