Again, thanks Tom. I'm designing my first WIFI mesh setup now for a mining camp in the middle of nowhere and this video answered some questions like the difference between the UI Mesh and Mesh-Pro

Seeing the layout on a map really sold this for me.

Excellent video. Love how you showed a real world scenario with the actual devices, range and speed!!! Please make more of these type of videos

The directional antenna you can buy for the non pro version is a beast. I recently used one and was able to maintain full download bandwidth over 400 feet away from the antenna

Thanks! Nice to see you drill-down into specific products and show them deployed. There are just so many options out there that it's overwhelming sometimes.

Put the mesh ap's on drones write a program that makes them automatically make a link to your current location.

[00:00] Hey there! Thanks for sharing this interesting video about mesh networking with Ubiquiti devices. It's really cool to see the practical application of these units, especially the car-to-car meshing experiment.

[00:14] The range you achieved with the mesh Pro and standard unify AC meshes is impressive, considering the distance you covered during the tests. It's good to know that these devices can handle two hops without a significant drop in performance.

[00:29] I'm curious about your thoughts on the practicality of such setups. When would you recommend using the more expensive mesh Pro units over the standard ones? Is there a specific scenario where the additional features and power of the mesh Pro make a significant difference in performance?

[00:42] Additionally, it would be great to hear more about the use cases you find most suitable for mesh networking. You mentioned Wi-Fi planning; are there any other scenarios where mesh networking shines, in your experience?

[01:08] Thanks for sharing your insights, and I look forward to your upcoming reviews and videos on Ubiquiti equipment. Keep up the great work!

[01:21] Cheers!

I love this channel so much. I know this is a couple years old but I'd be looking to pick up a Pro for a library parking lot. If you have time to comment, would you still suggest this?

We're already a Unifi shop and I just replaced all of our old AC LR with nanoHDs so this seems to be checking the box. Considering that 99% of patrons will have old devices I think the UAP-AC-M-PRO should be relevant for sometime.

Absolutely appreciate you guys for this video.

Thank you very much for another excellent video, love the channel. You had a reasonable line of sight between the devices, I wonder how they would do in a more dense environment with multiple buildings in-between. Could you skip a few buildings each hop and still get reasonable performance, or would you need to put one on top of every building? And if you were mounting these on top of every building, or every second building, would the wifi signal be strong enough inside the buildings? I am thinking about a scenario with many ground-floor-only buildings on a site all linked with mesh.

I've been waiting for someone to do a video like this! I hope that these things actually work well and I will buy then

What kind of bandwidth are you getting when you have 20/30 users on the mesh?

I used the small unit with a sector panel and was wirelessly sending full res images files using FTP straight from the camera back to base from 1400ft - I was blown away

I set these up in a campground that had some minor tree interference we only were able to get only 100 feet on uap-ac-m to uap-ac-m 175 feet on the pro. Also I had connected with there chat and searching there forums a lot people had distance issues. They are a great product but in the real world environment you may need to reduce your distance.

I didn’t look at the dimensions of the mesh units prior to watching this video and thought the Pro model you were holding was a complete joke. Lol low and behold, that’s actually how big it is.

Thank you for this great video. Is the secondary port on the uac pro Poe to power a secondary device ?

Great Video, How does Mesh compare to point to point and point to multi-point equipment? When to use each technology seems like the hard part, maybe a topic for another video? Thanks Keep up the informative videos!

If you do not mesh, has the -M any advantage over the other APs like -LR or vice versa, if the others do mesh too, what’s the -M advantage here?

I'd be interested if you do an update video on the new WIFI APs specifically the new U6 Mesh Pro and U7 Outdoor.
