Ryzen 7 3700X + RTX 4070 - Good Combo?

In this video, I'm testing the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with the Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB in different games like Fortnite, CSGO 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 to see if it is a good combo in 2024. The Ryzen 7 3700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, it has a base speed of 3.6GHz and a turbo speed of 4.4GHz, and it came out in 2019. The R7 3700X is still a pretty good cpu, in my opinion, if you can find one for a good price. The Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB came out in 2023, it has 12GB of GDDR6X memory with a memory speed of 21Gbps and a bandwith of 192 bits. It has 5888 cuda cores with a base speed of 1.92GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.49GHz.

The truth is that to take advantage of the Ryzen 7 3700x you don't have much of a bottleneck, around 4-5%, what motherboard do you use. If it is one with PCI 4.0 the results are not bad and you save about 200 or 300 €. Gracias por la info.

I have this same setup, 32gb of ram too but i keep getting stutters in every game, i thought it was the cpu bottlenecking the card but i guess not, anybody know what i could be missing?

I will be testing this on my ryzen 7 3800x with this gpu to see what kind of results I get and if there is indeed any form of bottleneck

To be fair FH5 is not CPU intensive, I can still run it on my old gaming laptop with a 4 core 6th gen i7 and GTX 1070 at 1080p and I only have to drop the settings a little to get 60 fps maxing out the gpu with the cpu at 80%. On my Ryzen 3700x and RTX 2080 main PC the limiting factor is VRAM at 1080p.

Missing up to 30% performance at 1080p but less than 5% at 4K -100fps titles.
So if you play on anything other than 1080p and lower this cpu is not ideal.If you play on high 2k-6k than this cpu is the best buy in your build lol

muito bom. aqui no brasil se eu achar um usado desse ryzen 7 3700x seria bem vindo mas e difícil achar e os preços não condizem com a realidade, a opção seria um ryzen 5 5500.

have this exact spec with 32gb of ram and still get only 60% of the fps this guy gets on 1440p
