Nine dead, over 36,000 people displaced in floods after heavy rains

At least nine people have died following floods from the heavy rains pounding the country since March this year. A wave of destruction has now spread to more than 14 counties, with over 6,000 households displaced now dependent on humanitarian aid. The Kenya Meteorological department says the phenomenon could begin to ease up starting this weekend.
