Wow! The pacing... directing.... suspense... costume design... and Minnie Driver's dialogue in her first conversation with Chevalier was perfection. It was a pleasure to get a break from superhero films and see an adult story with amazing writing, acting and directing. I was shocked at the high production value until I found out that searchlight is owned by Disney. Amazing film.

Saw this movie in theaters! So far, it's the top 10 best of the year. great acting set, designs costumes, and music, especially if you like the late 1700s. Especially the violin battle scene at the star got me hooked 😍😍
