How to calculate percentage on calculator using percentage button
You have to multiply your amount with the percentage you want to calculate and then press % button.
25% of 70000
after entering 70000 use * multiply sign i.e multiply 25 and press % button after that.

2nd e.g 20% of 90000
90000 * 20 and then press % sign
bingo, you have your Amount.

Thank you. I have studied percentages before but when you've been away from it for a while and have been busy with other things you tend to forget things as percentages aren't the only thing on your mind daily

My question is, Why can we simply type the amount and then use percentage button and type the percentage value. Ex- if i want to know what is the 5% of 1, 000 i simply do this on my calculator. 1000 % 5 = 50, the answer will be the same as 10000 x 5/100 =50 or 1000 x 5 %. So i can use minimum buttons for my ideal results.(correct me if I'm wrong)
