Another tip is that the real door has a bigger opening hitbox, so you can try getting near a door from around 5 studs, if it doesn't open then it's dupe

Another tip: If the doors are not locked, then you can try this tip. Dupe's doors do not open from the side, so you can stand close to the side and if it does not open, then it is Dupe.

I encountered 3 fake doors in one room once in my run. I noticed that the two other doors weren't that much bright compared to the middle one. So my theory is, when you encounter 2-3 doors in a dark room just wait for the guiding light to appear and observe which door is brighter.

one time I got Dupe at Door 48, and Dupe's door said "50". Knew it was fake, didn't even have to try.
Also, Rush CAN run into dupe apparently, happened to me once. It just doesn't seem to trigger the sound.

Four ideas to make dupe harder:
1. Dupe can spawn two identical doors that are the follow-up to what you just went through, but you don't know which one Dupe is behind.
2. Scratch off the numbers on the keys.
3. Reduce the volume of Dupe's sound behind a door.

4. Either make Dupe's door activate once you get close enough from the side the same as a normal door, or make a normal door not open from the side as easily.

Tip: before picking up the key look at the number and you’ll see which room it actually opens

Another tip if you get close to the real door it will automatically open up but the one with dupe will not automatically open until your closer to it

Another tip for dupe is when you’ve stalled for a while and guiding light comes to real door will shine brighter than the one’s that have dupe in it.

you can use the crucifix agansst Dupe, go to a random door and if you hear dupe, open that door with the crucifix on you hand and i think you automaticly throw the crucifix in leaveing a blue glow in the room with dupe and the label will fall of when dupe has gone straight to HELL.

Hey Pierus, another tip for dupe is when seeks eyes start appearing, there are always a lot at the correct door. So if there are two doors, more seek eyes will spawn near the correct door

The first time I encountered dupe, I HAD known which door I was on, but I thought “woah it lets you skip ahead a door? cool!”

Long story short it does not let you skip ahead a door
